“Encrypted messages”: this is how Vincenzo Fenili comments on the votes he received for the Quirinale

Exclusive interview with the former secret agent, author of Supernotes, among those voted during the session for the election of the new Head of State

“The election of all top positions in the state formally takes place in Italy but must have Washington’s blessing” Vincenzo Fenili, on 25, 26. 27 January, during the counting for the elections of the new President of the Republic, you received more than one vote.

Who thinks he wants the Quirinale and why?

In reality, I do not think that, realistically, nobody would want me at the Quirinale but the logic of the encrypted messages launched through the first votes lies in the political communication of the Parliament which is somewhat difficult to interpret as it is sophisticated

I have absolutely no idea who has repeatedly voted for me but it is obvious that a message has been launched whose contents are unknown to me. My first book “Supernotes”, written with Luigi Carletti and become a best-seller sold in over thirty countries and translated into nine languages, has also had a great following among memebers of Parliament and I have some good friends among them. I believe that, beyond any conspiracy, the votes were very simply a manifestation of esteem and friendship: the latter concept, when expressed with sincerity and heart, is a very rare commodity or at least it has been in my professional and personal life.

Perhaps as in politics, my world has been populated by traitors of both sexes, parasites who have climbed into the chariot of the winner only to abandon him at the slightest hint of storm winds in the hope that he who was proponents and responsible for their fortunes would succumb to oblivion … it was not so and my memory is long. Needless to say, I am flattered by those votes and I have a little laugh when I think that some magistrate could see yet another dark plot in it! I am absolutely not, at least in this case, throwing a jab at the judiciary: in this category I also include some true friends, in particular I remember a woman friend (who is still a magistrate) who in times of grave danger worked hard with very few others to save my life.

These are those rare personal relationships that interest me and for which I fight

and would gladly defend to the bitter end! An undercover secret agent who was to go up to the Quirinale would certainly be inconvenient in many national and international contexts as he is a profound and attentive connoisseur of “plots” that are best remaining unknown to the general public. My name in the course of the count must certainly have made more than one person jump in the chair.

An “uncomfortable” agent for whom?

Look, given that the election of all the top positions of the state formally takes place in Italy but must have the blessing of Washington, the scenario that you imagine is not only fantastic but even lies beyond the “horizon of events”! For the reasons that you well underline, anyone who had ever found himself well within those “plots” to which you allude could never hold important public positions unless he literally signed a pact with the Devil. You can serve your country for a long time and faithfully, even paying a significant price, without ever abandoning a critical sense and analytical skills: when ethics and moral sense collide with different realities and on a collision course, it is necessary to make strong choices. … which in fact make you suddenly unpalatable. I know for a fact that someone did not like that vote but I will not speculate here on who may have rolled their eyes up! But the message has been sent and received, I’m sure.

Parliament and secret services, what are the relationships in the past, what today?

The relations between the two institutional identities are, theoretically, well-regulated and structured through successive reforms aimed at optimizing them. Often the problem lies not in the structure of the system but in the men who manage it but this is an obviousness that applies to the institutions as a whole. And here I better stop and prefer not to add anything else.

In the last episode, Report on RAI TV explored the still unresolved “State massacres” alluding to two Gladio, one “good”, the other “bad”. What do you think about it?

In my very personal and obviously partial experience, Gladio was not only a legitimate structure which operated in controlled areas and with the rules of engagement typical of that type of operations. I only know of one Gladio, the “good” one who loyally and silently served the State but I cannot discount the fact that there were deviations, as in all institutional and non-institutional bodies. Of one thing, however, I’m pretty sure: on those events light will NEVER be shed. And maybe that’s the way it should be.

In these hours the name of Belloni is mentioned. How would you see this woman at the Quirinale?

In my very humble opinion, a name of absolute prestige that blends personal, professional and moral qualities of absolute prominence and great institutional depth. All reasons why she probably won’t be President… but I hope I’m wrong.

As an insider, how do you see the winds of war over the Ukrainian “question”?

A gigantic trap into which the United States and its allies are falling. A classic “double agenda” operation created by a brilliant mind who is using, after causing it, the progressive weakening of the USA and its friends in the global chessboard.

I am obviously an impartial observer but it is obvious that as long as Italy does not learn to have a more independent international policy, especially from the USA, we will continue to get into trouble: let’s NEVER forget, for example, the 53 Italian victims in Afghanistan and those fallen in Nassiryia, valiant soldiers who died in wars that were not ours. And with sinister and unmentionable purposes.
